Fire Lord Ozai sat on his over sized throne, as his mind was set on just one thing. Kill the Avatar. The only thing that appeared in his mind right now was images of the Avatar, looking at him, mocking him. At these very thoughts, he lost control of his anger, and let all hell loose. Suddenly jumping out of the throne, he sent a ball of fire towards a servant, that was only washing his feet a moment ago, and upon impact, killed him instantly. Nothing more than a pile of ash was left in the spot the servant was standing. Ozai let a smile creep up on him, taking perverse pleasure in his actions. He calmed down, after studying the ash for a moment. “If only I can get my hands on that Avatar,” He said to himself, through gritted teeth.
Suddenly, a soldier came into the throne room. “Lord Ozai, there have been spottings of the Avatar in various locations. One such man from the Earth Kingdom who saw the Avatar was willing to speak. We have brought him along with us, your majesty,” The soldier said, kneeling.
“Bring him in,” Ozai said, coldly. On one hand, he was overjoyed to the fact they had probably found the Avatar, and on the other, he was angered due to the fact they had probably found the Avatar. The soldier immediately stood upright, and walked back towards the door. Hearing a few murmurs, Ozai made out what sounded like, “Bring the old bastard in.”
He heard a shuffling of feet, as the “old man” was brought into the throne room. His clothes battered and beaten, obviously during investigation. He was being dragged along by two soldiers the king had never seen before. It didn’t matter, they were no more than disposables in war for him anyway. They stopped, 20 feet away from the throne, and let the man go. He fell face first on the ground. Gathering his strength, he slowly got up, painfully. The soldier gave the man a tight slap, “Speak now, vermin!”
“Enough! He is our guest, be polite! Leave, and I’ll deal with you later,” Ozai said, outraged at the fact they slapped the man, simply because he wanted to be the one slapping him. The soldier left the room immediately, Pointing to the old man, he spoke, “Speak…And you may live,” He simply said.
“S-S-Sir, He was in our village, th-the Outrian Village only a few days-” He said, before being halted by the king.
“A few days ago?! I thought this was fresh information! I don’t want to hear this!” The king had heated up, and wanted nothing more to kill these men standing in front of him. He was going to do that too, just not now. The solider that was with the man now, Ozai threw a fire ball at him. Killing him instantly, the old man looked at the king in fear.
“Please, no….Please don’t do this,” The old man begged, tears rushing through his eyes.
And in that instant, he, too, was gone.
The servants that had been watching were barely standing. They had seen more than they could handle. They feared the king more than they ever had before, and the king could do nothing more than enjoy it. “Send in the other solider.” The king said. The servants immediately rushed out, and in came the solider.
“You ungrateful bastard. I told you I want the information first! And by the looks of that beggar, you had it first! This is an outrage!” The king was standing, already forming the next fireball to throw at his target.
