Velox remained in his cell, completely incased from head to toe in thick iron. Only a few pin sized holes were available for air, and nothing else. No eye holes existed, no place for hinges or opening the entrapment. It was a single unbroken peice of solid metal. It was through careful metal and fire bending that the Triad were able to get Velox into this predicament. In all senses of the word, he was trapped.
Deep below the desert floor, a giant system of tunnels had been constructed and excivated until it had achieved the likeness of a city. It was the Triad's main headquarters, and home to all prisoners they had choosen to keep alive. Velox was located deep in this tunnel system, in a row of cells maintaned for the most troublesome and important prisoners. Along with him were several theives, a few powerful benders, and some high class nobles from the nations. He was the only airbender among them.
After his daily meal of liquified...something, which was poured through the airholes and into his mouth, he did the only he could do: think, remember, and contemplate. That day was still etched clearly in his mind, as if it had happened only a few seconds ago. His words still echoed in his mind: Get out of here! Go and save yourself! Ill be ok..... Such a lie was the only thing that was able to save atleast one of them.
It was during his travel with Sarya, just outside of the petolla mountain range. They had been ambushed by a massive group of benders. Even for two master level benders, probly the best in each of their respective nations, it was impossible to fight off the amount of force the triad had used. At te time he had thought it was a good idea to sacrifice himself, so that Sarya, the one with more connections, could go free. Now he was not so sure. They were going to use him as leverage against his own nation.

Rein had wandered apon an enemy encampment. Not liking to be surprised the Triad band had captured him. Rein had managed to make it rain heavily causing a minor landslide but enough for him to escape....Briefly. Had ran into a returning raid party that managed to recapture him. When they had returned to their headquarters they threw Rein into a pit. The only thing Rein could see was the massive raincloud that always hung above him. Since the pit had a drainage system Rein could not escape by causing the pit to flood. Rein felt distraught. Huddling into a corner he sent out spiritual pulses. He usually did this in times of danger hoping that someone sensitive to spirits would be able to sense him. There was little Rein could do but sit in his wet muddy pit as thunder sounded. He knew no bending and could not fight, all he could do was make it rain.

It was in times like these that Zuko was thankful that his little brother's yoga practices seemed to have rubbed off on him. He's searched tirelessly for Sarya for weeks to no avail, though while following his latest lead felt energy pulses from not too far off. His head snapped in the direction he thought he felt it coming from and he took off.
A Triad base. Nothing too difficult. Most of these bases were a joke; a bunch of dumb brutes left to guard whoever they held captive. The real threats were out doing the actual work. These guards may be strong, but they were often none too bright and very slow. It was a simple matter for Zuko to slip past them and to the source of the signals.
He was a little disappointed that it hadn't been Sarya sending the signals, figuring she'd learned as much during her time with Shang-hui, but the spirit enclosed in the cage was a prisoner nonetheless, and one who needed saving. Zuko grabbed the bars with his hands and the metal melted away under his touch. "Come with me," He said gruffly, grabbing the young by by the hand. "And I hope you can run like the wind as well as make it rain."
If that wasn't Sarya, then the underground passage the majority of the lackeys were guarding had to be her holding cell. Fueled by fury, Zuko let loose a tsunami of fire at them, knocking them all aside and leaping down the hole, all while dragging the boy behind him. Landing on the ground far below, he made sure the boy was okay before sprinting to a solid metal cell at the other end. Sarya. "Stay there! I'll need you in a minute." He called to the boy, charging up his fire as he got nearer to the metal enclosure.
"Stay back!" He called to it's captive, before blasting the case with as much fire and heat as he possibly could. Several moments, that felt like an eternity to Zuko, later the cage had melted under the intensity of his attacks. Breathing hard, Zuko looked eagerly for who waited inside. Instead of gorgeous violet eyes and long gold hair, he found none other than her guard instead. He stooped and picked Velox up by the lapels, hauling him to his feet. "Where the hell is she!?"

Even in his condition, Velox was easily able to recognize the sounds going on outside of his cell. Someone had broken in, and obviously that someone was Zuko. Only he was commited enough to come all the way out here and go through the prison single handedly. But, his attempts would not bring what he sought, instead yielding a man he more than likely despised.
Velox nearly hit the ground as he fell from his metal entrapment, his body not yet used to being able to move once again. Just before slamming into the hard dirt he felt Zuko haul him up to eye level. He met his gaze with a blank stare showing just how weak his body was. "Somewhere in the Earth Kingdom. I can help you find her..." He managed to cough out. He shook off the weariness and attempted to stand on his own, feeling the blood rush back to his limbs. "....You gotta believe me, I did everything I could to save her, but there was far too many...." He blurted out. He paused, hesitating and finally shook his head. "They were using the old fire nation war ballons. Thats why neither of us could sense them.....and they are going to go after Sarya in a massive force..." He finished. He leaned against a wall, trying to catch his breath. As he felt enough strength return to him got onto his feet, wondering if the prince wished to depart immediatly. He hadn't even noticed the young spirit yet, his sense jumbled and trying to comprehend what had just happened.

Zuko listened to him, still holding him up more for support now than from anger. He finally released him when he felt he could stand on his own. "Of course you did everything, you're in love with her too..." He said, more to himself that anyone else. "And you're damn right you're going to help us find her." He said, his voice regaining strength. "Rumor is she's dying, if she'd not dead already." He put an arm under the Air Bender's and began to lead him quickly but carefully back to the other end of the chamber.
His heart seemed to have forgotten how to beat. They were still going after Sarya - that much at least meant that Sarya was still alive or they wouldn't bother. But for how much longer? If they were going to use as much force as Velox said..."Spirit...Rein, right?" He said, shaking the thought off. "I need it to flood. Monsoon flood. Can you do that?"

So many things happened so quickly that Rein barely had time to think. He had managed to get his umbrella while half running half being dragged by a strange fire-bender. Rein stayed quiet and tried to stay out of the way. He didn't trust anyone but he didn't want to stay in this prison. He just watched as the fire bender interrogated the air bender. Rein took a step back causing the rain to fall a little more heavily. He wasn't entirely sure what to make of these two men. Suddenly the fire bender turned to him and ordered him to make a monsoon. Rein did as he was told he closed his eyes suddenly a roll of thunder and a crack of lightning and rainfall started to pour down on them harder and harder Rein followed the man blank- faced

Zuko gave Rein a wicked smile. "Perfect - come on." He guided Rein towards the ladder of the chamber, ruffling his hair as he started up it. He carried Velox by holding him with one arm, bracing him on his shoulder. He trusted that he was well enough to climb on his own, but they were short on time and needed to get up quickly. Zuko had slightly underestimated Rein's strength - already the underground chamber was filling with water.
When they reached the surface, the guards Zuko had knocked out were still unconcsious. The rest seemed to be fleeing for higher grounds. "Nice job, kid!" He shouted to Rein over the roar of the falling water and rolling thunder overhead. "Now, Velox - the closest place to here is the Ruins at the base of the Petolla Mountains. I haven't searched there yet - do you think she'd be there?" He turned back to Rein momentarily. "And as soon as we get out of here, the monsoon can stop. Right now you're giving us great cover, though!"

Everything was happening so fast, and Velox's mind wasnt having a hard time keeping up with it in its present condition. Sarya was injured even after he had tried to save her, Zuko had freed him, and ontop of all that the entire complex was flooding thanks to a spirit of all things. It took a bit of self convincing to get him to believe it was not just some dream. Before long, he felt the adreniline kicking and his body back to normal. Giving a smile and a nod of thanks to Zuko, he got off his shoulder and stretched his limbs while they made their escape.
"Sarya should be sticking to less crowded areas with the Triad on the loose, and it is close to where I was orginally captured. It would be a good place to look...." He replied to Zuko over the roaring storm. As they ran, he used airbending to retrieve his items, floating them on aircurrents and into his hands. He stuffed it all into a bag, leaving out a few knives, and strapping it onto his back. He would have to wait for later to put on his gear. Right now they were pressed for time.
It wasnt long till they were finally at the surface and free of that retched place. Velox took a moment to catch his breath, letting his thoughts catch up. They had little time to waste, and would have to be on the move again quickly if Sarya was in as bad condition as Zuko said she was. He glanced over at the young spirit, wondering if he would join them. It would probly be for the best, as he was not comfortable leaving one such as him alone with the Triad lurking about. "What is your name, Spirit?" He asked plainly.

Zuko saw the Triad starting to come to their senses and realize that they weren't in as much danger as they thought they were. They had to move. Now. "His name's Rein. I met him a Sarya's palace." He said gruffly. "Time for introductions later - right now we need to get out of here. I'm sorry if I seem rude, but we need to leave." He grabbed the spirit's hand again, though this time a bit more gently, and started to run. "Velox, come on!" He shouted as fire, water, and earth started flying with deadly accuracy at them from all directions. Zuko took off at a sprint for the mountains, figuring they could find shelter in the ruins.

Velox smiled deviously, almost enjoying that they were on the run again, back into action. He tossed a few knives at the Triad before giving up and dashing off after Zuko and Rein, picking up speed till he was right with them.
